Hardkernel ODROID XU4 Shifter Shield Review

Features
- 40 pin ODROID-C1 compatible 2.54mm/0.1″ pitch 2×20 header
36 pins are compatible with Raspberry Pi 2/A+/B+ - 6 pin I2C header
- three TSX0108E eight i/o bi-directional level shifters
- slide switch to select 3v3 or 5V GPIO operation
- clear silk screened GPIO “cheat sheet” labels

Nice clean board layout – note the surface mount level shifters towards the top.

The bottom of the circuit board is also nice and clean – note the 2mm pitch stacking headers.

Above you can see how the 30 pin 2mm connector connects the XU4 and the Shifter Shield.

The spacers had to be fairly tall in order to leave clearance for the fan on the heat sink.
